Sandeep Shah is the founder partner at the firm with over 40 years of experience. Sandeep joined N A Shah after his chartered accountancy and started focusing on his core areas – Audit & Assurance, Family Office and FEMA & allied laws. Sandeep is a voracious reader and supports the think tank of the firm through his comprehensive understanding of various laws pertaining to the Indian regulatory and business environment.

Sandeep enhances the capabilities of Cignas through the T-shaped approach where he plays a role through collaborations and solutions for the clients. Sandeep, in addition to his personal areas of expertise focuses on an all-around understanding of the client and the key challenges they face. His strength in building relationships helps him establish the rapport with clients, understand their broader challenges and connect them with the various centres of expertise within Cignas. This love for nurturing relationships stems largely from his passion for gardening. Step inside the Cignas office and one cant help being impressed by the immaculately planned flora in the office. No prizes for guessing who this should be attributed to.

Sandeep has serviced a diverse portfolio of industries through his career. He has been on several technical committees of ICAI including Accounting Standard Board Committee, Financial Reporting Review Board and Shield Panel of Excellence in Financial Reporting of ICAI. He is an Independent Director on board of a German owned subsidiary company which is a world leader in textile capital goods. Sandeep closely works with various NGO in field of education / healthcare and is associated in capacity as Trustee/ Advisor – National Burns Centre, Somaiya Trust, Jai Hind College etc. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1984.
